Volcan is certainly beautiful, but I have never heard a host talk about the geologic hazards on this side of Baru. In short, it is extremely hazardous- as volcan is build right on top of the lahar bed- that's why it's relatively flat up there. Look at the USGS report on Volcan Baru and the flow paths off that mountain. This volcano has erupted on average every 5-600 years and it has been over 500 years since the last eruption. Every historical eruption has inundated the area of Volcan with deep lahar beds- the entire town will be decimated.

Their pace of speech and clear love and respect for each other drew my attention like you wouldn’t believe . If I wasn’t already hooked on Panamá, this would have done it🎉

Sounds a little bit more primitive than Mexico in many ways. I also thought that more Panamanian people spoke English - but that's no problem for me, because my Spanish is pretty darn good. Perhaps the greatest obstacle for me to living in Panama would be going back to the US to get my mega ultra high potency probiotic supplements every few months, without which my intestines can't function. That's why I have been living in Mexico - it is much closer to the US, and a much shorter trip to get my probiotic supplements. Also, I have been taking the Mexican herb Chaparro Amargo, which has been working wonders for my ulcerative colitis. Is it available in Panama?

Thanks for your commitment to doing these livestreams!! I have listened/watched for several years before my tour in Feb 2021 (dont know the exact number of it) and continue to do so. It feels like a 'community' and as a solo that is important since I will be traveling there solo next year. I like Panama City for the social activities and the easy access to everything.. and now Cerra Azul seems like a great option to get out of the heat of the city...

If I want to move there using the residency option of setting up a company in Panama and issuing myself a labor contract, can I start the company as a nonprofit here in the U.S. and then transfer or transition the company to a Panamanian company when the time comes to apply for residency?
